Studio Blog Day 37...
We are 1/4 through our tenure here at the studio and i'd reckon we are happily 1/4th finished recording our big project.
I'd like to thank everyone who has helped us so far by contributing soups and miscellaneous treats. Its been so heart warming having so much support all around us. Thank you.
Studio Blog Day 31...
Each day has been consecutively fruitful with success.
That is a nice factoid to tout but the context of it is that the band has been working really, really hard.
Brennan has been a destroyer, laying down very tight drum tracks almost everyday.
And Trevor has put to tape some r e a l l y tricky guitar takes.
For the last decade or so i've (this ritch) fantasized about what it was like for the Beatles to have their recording career. Them methodically going to the studio at routine hours like workers in a magic factory.. Well 20 days in and i'm finally getting a taste of what that is like.
And I'm loving it.
(ps I took almost none of these pics, hence why i'm in most of them)
Studio Blog Day 14...
New news - today we found out we get a crucial extra month to record here at this studio.
This is has us exalted.
(This is Ritchie btw)
Almost every day has been fun and productive. There have been moments though where we try and dial an acoustic guitar for at least 3 or 4 hours and it never ends up sounding good. Or comparing our mixes to professional mixes (we shouldn't be doing that this early in the game.) Anyways heres some new photos. (Brennan took a lot of these photos)
